PRE CHRISTMAS SAILINGS
17/12/2016 – A couple of launchings took place in the week before Christmas. The weather was fine – bright, cold and the river was very calm. The second expedition was aimed at Runcorn Bridge in order to check progress on the new bridge but the trip was curtailed by an impenetrable wall of fog. (Boats on the water – Shreck, Tango Mike, Emily, Kayak Andy and Kayak Too Late Tony.

The weather was cold and sunny with calm seas. The event did not start well for Madness who suffered a major engine failure and had to be towed home. (First candidate for the GOLDEN TOW ROPE award at the next Prize giving!!). The other boats enjoyed and hour or two on the calm waters.
